芭蕾舞劇《淚泉》取材于俄羅斯19世紀(jì)偉大詩(shī)人亞歷山大·普希金的抒情長(zhǎng)詩(shī)《巴赫奇薩拉依的水泉》，1962年12月，剛剛留學(xué)歸國(guó)的劇團(tuán)編導(dǎo)王希賢根據(jù)前蘇聯(lián)基洛夫芭蕾舞團(tuán)1934年首演的版本排演了芭蕾舞劇《淚泉》，并選用了鮑里斯·阿薩菲耶夫的原創(chuàng)音樂(lè)作為舞劇音樂(lè)。1962年12月17日首演當(dāng)天，周恩來(lái)、陳毅等領(lǐng)導(dǎo)也到天橋劇場(chǎng)觀看《淚泉》。
Ballet The Fountain of Bakhchisarai was based on the 600-line verse tale of the same name by the great Russian poet of 19th century Alexander Pushkin. In December 1962, the newly graduated choreographer Wang Xixian came back to China, and staged for the Company The Fountain of Bakhchisarai, a version premiered in 1934 by Kirov Ballet of Soviet Union, using the original music of Boris Asafiev. On December 17th, Mr. Zhou Enlai and Chen Yi were also attended the performance in Tianqiao Theatre.
